MGST 398Z Creative Problem Solving

This is two different papers combined in one. The first one discusses a problem that has been bothering me is a younger female friend has been hurt from her boyfriend. Her name is Joanna. It bothers me because he was going out with another girl, while going out with her. I feel more like a brother to her as well as being a friend. She has low self-esteem due to child abuse as a young girl. She still suffers from feeling that she is not liked and this has led to her being depressed. The second paper is about a men's group that is having problems with participation. Leader seems to make all the decisions without much input of the other men. It’s not the leader’s fault, Brother John has been leader for several years and each year he is voted the leader again. At first I believed that a lot of the problem was that he stifled creativity, but I learned through watching him that this was not the problem. Most of the men have busy lives and feel they do not have time to input a lot of creativity or to suggest other problem solving methods. Some of the men are elderly men and have been in the church for years.
