Addressing the Deficiency of Varying Governing Theories in African States.
This paper explores the nature of theoretical approaches that are used to contextualize states within Africa. Through addressing the theoretical approaches to investigating Africa, it shall be seen how these processes are deficient in terms of addressing the true nature of Africa and the social, political, and cultural qualities found therein. The approaches to be addressed are Dependency, Statist, Militaristic, Kleptocratic, Collapsed, Emergent, and Hegemonic.
