This paper is a discussion of the thoughts of Elizabeth Fox-Genovese in the context of women and community. Her book and essays involving women and their role in a community as well as rethinking her are the focuses of the discussion. In essence, the paper examines what role would women play in a democracy if they rethought themselves as an individual is the question being addressed.
