While there is many that argue, rather persuasively, that just a person doesnt have the right (ability would be more appropriate) to determine when they enter the world, neither should they determine when they leave it. But, as birth is truly beyond a persons control, death is one thing that all of us can and should be able to decide for ourselves. For, what do we truly own and have the right to enjoy other than our own lives? It is the purpose of this paper to demonstrate the legitimacy of the argument for euthanasia and for the right of the individual to determine the course of his or her own lives.
